Where can I get traffic for forum...

off topic.. everytime i push on the question mark .. it types this É

how can i fix that on my keyboardÉ

back to topic... I need to direct traffic to my forum... were should i advertise

PayPerClick and word of mouth has always been the best solutions IMO ~

Incentive based sign ups are okay for building numbers ... But most members do not stick around in my experience.

PPC can (of course) Get expensive and tricky - So you might want to shop around at some of the smaller engines and seek out obscure keywords still related to the theme / niche of the forum.

I've seen people have contests to jump-start their new forums.
If you base them on number/quality of posts it can get the forum some much needed starter content as well as just new members.

usually posting on forums will do the trick, have some reason for them to come back again and again, like forum currency can buy them stuff.

re: your question, try setting up the language of your keyboard as English (En) and not something else, if this is already set up like that, then your computer might have a virus.

I am having the same issues with my new forums,

I get on average 4 clicks a day with a $1 limit on yahoo ads (googles ads wouldnt go past to the payment section i tried loads but it wasnt having it), So i have invested in this for 1 month to see how it goes.

I also put links in my forum sigs, and since i use similar forums myself, your basically posting your link to your target market every post you make! Its a good way if your a common forum user.

And as weblord said, forum gold, I installed an app for it on my forum but it wasnt working, when i find a working one, i will allow users to purchase my e-books that i sell using forum gold, and possibly sell other things, I am new to this kind of market, so I am still researching.
