I haven't been to a movie theater in over a decade... The price for admission is ridiculous and the snacks are just as ridiculously priced. But I do miss the old days when going to the movies or drive-in didn't cost an arm or a leg. Ahh the memories...

Do you know tho that the theaters make the bulk of their profit not from ticket prices.. that goes to the studios.. they have to make their money on the concessions! It's true..

I believe it... The studios need to lower their asking price... They are over-pricing themselves right out of business. They keep complaining that they're losing money but it's their own darn fault. Start producing quality movie instead of the same formulated material they keep pumping out and they might draw us back in.

It was a month ago I think.. I so remember when I tripped and decided to go to a theater all by myself...I am after the experience and really kinda nice.. Though I felt a bit different bcause I was thinking that people would see me as a weird person coming into the movie house along.. LOL.. I love teh experience and want to try that again

True.. more like 30 cents, if that.. fountain drinks have the largest profit margin of any concession item.

Watching a movie at home is no match for the BIG screen IMO.. but prices are too high, even matinees.. guess we'll eventually see the demise of these cinemas.

A huge amount of people still go to the movie theaters. Whenever I drive by Regal Cinemas, it's usually packed.

Watching DVD"s at home is good enough for me though.
