Quick monetization could be acheived simply through advertising within the app (it currently has none) However The grand vision for monetization I had when I began developing the app, and where the real value in when.me lies, is for dynamic - real time - business to consumer interaction.
Since the app is all about tracking your future plans and locations, and the app has venue information built into it (through Google places) the larger monetization plan/goals of the app is selling this user generated location and plan information to venues...
The reason I am selling is that I am a one man independent developer and don't have the time and resources to truly get the business side of app where it needs to be to allow these kind of venue to consumer interactions to occur. I truly belive when.me is the future of "social-local-mobile" monetization interaction between consumer and business venues and owning the database of where users are going, and more importantly, where they have been, is invaluable and a potential $$$ goldmine!
