Good Question ?

Hi

That is a great question and would be great if more people could give ideas on things they have tried that have returned some kind of result for them , I am not talking about all their dark and dirty secrets, but just some ideas would be great,

Here are my ideas..

1) Park the domain at sedo and put it in the correct categories for the domain, and earn money from the clicks,

2) Find a product relating to the domain name and develop a product or service around the domain,

3) Join the ebay affiliate program via CJ and then direct the domain name to ebay with a keyword search result, then if the visitor is not an ebay member and they join you earn $5.00 per signup,

4) Do the same as #3 but with other affiliate programs...

5) Join some xxx affiliate programs and redirect your domain to it, a lot of people do this, but it can ruin a good domain name fast...

well hope this helps

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. Strategies for profiting in expiring domains are usually kept pretty quiet because sharing a particular technique can make it unusable if others emulate it.

Here are a few general tips

Find a good niche of names that you actively check for. With sometimes up to 20,000 names dropping every day, you'll waste a lot of time trying to attack everything.

Get access to good drop lists, like from exody, or use NamePros expiring domain search at www.namepros.com/dropsearch.php Search for terms of specific domains.

Just because a name is expiring, doesn't mean its worth grabbing. 99%+ of the names expiring are not worth going after.

Pool.com works very good for catching expired names. $60 minimum price though, so be selective which names you go after using them.
