I would be grateful if some of the more experienced developers had a quick peek at my site www.bikinis.tv , i seem to getting nowhere, i have added pages with my original content and have labeled photos, dome some comments on dofollow blogs, try to make some posts each week with some text to accompany the videos

The thing is even if you tell me what's wrong i will have trouble fixing it but ya gotta start somewhere i guess

I am aware the videos go against the site but it is a .tv extension and i am trying to stay true to the idea

Any help much appreciated

Your site is working fine. What seems to be the problem?

i guess i am seeking more seo orientated answers in regards to the video content , another example would be that my pictures are jpegs when perhaps they should be png , things like this , things that i am able to fix

things like in this report that may be harming the site

http://analyze.websiteoptimization.com/wso

I never seem to get noticed in the search engines ?

(Nevermind ... except for this part ...)

Any issues being flagged in Webmaster Tools? Are Googlebot/MSNbot visiting/crawling anything? How often and how deeply?

I don't think jpg or png makes any difference.

What words/searches are you hoping to rank for? It wasn't clear to me what the focus of the site was. If it's bikinis you are up against some serious competition. I looked at the results of a search for bikinis and your competition includes Amazon, Victoria's Secret with PageRanks of 4 or 5.

I also did a search for "bikini beaches" w/o the quotes and saw the same thing.

Time is also a factor. New sites often do well for a while (weeks) and then vanish for a few months.

Good luck.

there are NO pages indexed in Google at all.

That's not what I saw. His home page and at least a couple of others have a PR of 0 which to me means they are indexed. In addition, when I took a long string from one of his pages and did a search for it (to see if the content was unique) his page was the only search result. So I would say the site is indexed, at least to some level.

I'm thinking new site, lots of competition, and weak backlinks are the biggest problems.

First things first, your trying to rank with a .tv...It's possible but it will take you twice as long, no matter what google says. I started developing debt.tv and used buildmyrank, press releases, buzzle, ezine...you name it to get backlinks and I still never ranked. I registered DebtOptions.net and it got ranked after just 1 week. Don't let anybody kid you....the extension does matter when it comes to getting ranked by search engines.

Sorry...

It's not just being pushed to the bottom of the results, there are NO pages indexed in Google at all.

I'm showing 55 pages indexed: http://www.google.com/search?&q=site:bikinis.tv

@evirtual1:

I think you're suffering from a lack of focus. On the front page, I see seven posts that are all tied together by the keyword "bikini" but -- aside from the fashion-specific ones -- are unrelated to one another. I would recommend you try to focus your content around a tighter set of keywords, exploring the "low hanging fruit" long tail search terms to get it some baseline traffic and then expand out from there.

Whoops - you're right - would help if I typed the "s". Before coffee - ARRRRGH!!!

In addition to this good advice, if it were my site I would make my page titles more unique and tightly relevent to each individual page/post and not stick those same 3 keywords onto the end of all of them. And watch out for overuse of the word "Bikini" - on site and in anchor text. Overuse of one word is not a "natural" thing to do and it can make search engines think you're trying to keyword-stuff your way into the rankings. Or at the very least, it can confuse them and make your own pages compete with each other (not a good thing.)

Get a more seo friendly theme this one sucks.

Add tags - meta, alt and post.

Build backlinks from sites w/ related content.

Thanks for imput , reps given where i can, theme will be staying as is , i like and it suits the site, can the script issues be easily fixed ?

I did cut back on the number of videos on the frontpage but i cant keep them all under the same category because for some reason once i reach the number of videos i allow (7) on the front page there is no 'older articles' link at the bottom of the front page ? .....got me stumped ?

I am doing various categories because of that and to add different angles, another thing is that is a bit hard to find decent videos that are not full bimbos just giggling with their tits out in front of them, now of course i like that but i don't want the site to be just that

The site is set to no specific country via google webmaster tools

I have been chasing links on keywordluv and commentluv sites as well as dofollow blogs, i did cut back the out going links yesterday

Each post has tags and also i am using all in seo plugin which has description for each post, are you saying the alt tags are the ones i have been doing in heading two under the main title of each post ?

Example Muslim Swimwear Styles / Muslim Swimsuits

These are my keywords

bikinis, bikini,micro bikinis,brazilian bikini,bikini beach,swimwear,

This is my discription

Some bikini terms are micro bikinis, bikini models, bikini beach, bikini design, swimwear, bikini home girls, string bikinis, swimsuits

The title tag is

Bikini | Swimwear | Swimsuits | Bikinis

To be honest i thought i had tied it all in together ok ?

I may try for the term 'bikini swimwear' instead

Also may i ask if the text is in the correct position ?

Maybe it just the heading two above the video and the text underneath the video ?

It's all learning and i am grateful for your time , cheers !
