ok, so im doing a google on one of my domains:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=www.desktoppc.us&btnG=Search

this comes up.. why is google referancing this website and not mine?

notices the link too, final folder is " /war/ " which is a 404 page.

clickon the link too and still happens.. intersting.
ive got all the whois info on that domain... but im loath to do anything yet until i figure out what exactly is going on.

My guess - the domain was recently recycled.
Previous owner let it expire, you picked it up. Or you bought it from someone who used to have some content there.

If you look at the URL of the google link, it actually says westafricareview.com (odd name for a .us domain, huh?). The domain you have was probably parked on top of that domain, or that domain had a page that referenced your domain.

ya, maybe adoptable. Ive owned this domain for a few months and this just began today... i check it about 2 or 3 times a week... so i doubt the first respondant's reasoning would be accurate in this case.

still, odd though.

It's strange because if you search for your domian without the "www." the "West Africa Review" doesn't show up at all. Maybe Google has a couple of wires crossed or something.

ya..it is interesting isn't it. Im almost tempted to contact google and see if they have a clue... but im loath to bug them over such a small issue on a virtually worthless website.

I am thinking (if you look at that PR for west africa thing... that it is some type of scam.
