I was just curious if anyone has seen a big drop in hirings where you live with the "recession" and all (doesn't have to be US). I know where we live its not terrible but it has markedly slowed down since last year around this time. I guess if you have a job right now you're lucky.

Yeah in my hometown which is pretty smallish ~64k there aren't a lot of jobs. The big industries around here either have outsourced or shutdown. Luckily, I got a job right out of college in another big job provider so I didn't get caught without work. Of course thats not counting the business online that I already had.

:bingo:

LOOOOL, i am moving to Washington DC tomorrow!!!

Nice find Dave....i don't think that's for real thoug....

On a side note, IMO if some people would adapt the thought of variety, it shouldn't be too hard to find a job even these days....

I know i will raise some comments with my statement but if you learned one job, just don't get stuck on it...be open minded...work is work, no matter what it is....i actually learned 2 jobs and worked in 14+ different other jobs

(i know in some areas u have no chance at all to get a job)

Again, this is just my opinion :)

Cheers

Don't be too sure.. a good panhandler can make good bucks in a large metro area and never be seen by the same person twice! ;) I can't imagine panhandling in Washington being too lucrative tho.. too much competition from the guys on the Hill. :p
