Aside the hard time that i'm having to fill my iPod, it poses an interesting question: "What's on YOUR iPod?!"
What does the NP community listen to?

Bring your top tracks to this thread. The ones you play the most, the ones you're most fond of, ...

Let's hear it ... :music:

Well, if you want a very mixed top 5.. I'll give you the top five of my Itunes playlist.

Avenged Sevenfold - Afterlife (brilliant rock music track, great guitar solo etc.)
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen (classic 80's track, tune is catchy as hell)
Crazyravers - Wonderland (if you're into dance music...)
Pit Bull - Oye (or maybe a bit of rap...)
Electric Six - Down At McDonnelzz (or maybe even a bit of the bizarre. It's electro comedy rock, essentially.)

I really can't help with my favourite of all time, as there are so many! I'm happy at a heavy metal concert, but just as content in a nightclub
I think people should always be willing to try new music and not dismiss it straight away; you'll be suprised to find that you might actually begin to like music you never thought you'd like, just because your automatic reaction to it is a negative one (especially if you are used to a particular type of music)
The only type of music I avoid is Indie, because it's boring and.. well, it's just boring. (bar one or two bands, for example Arctic Monkeys)

A collection of songs that I like, that you may or may not like;

Ace Of Base - All That She Wants
AFI - The Missing Frame
The All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret

Interesting ideas! Many of the songs i actually already have, many others i have never heard of or haven't though about just yet. Thanks for the input!

Keep your top 5 coming, it's always good to know what others favor.

Maybe i should rename the thread to "What's on your iPod?" ;)

M.

So, to answer the question: My most played tunes are:

Joe Bonamassa - Live (entire album)
Aerosmith - Back in the saddle
Metallica - Fade to Black
Kansas - Wayward Son
Eagles - Live - Hell Freezes Over (entire album)

I'm going to post albums and not songs, because that is way too hard. 7 of my favorite albums (MAYBE not my top 7, but if not, then very close):

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
Keep No Score by Sleeping at Last
The Shadow of Your Wings by Fernando Ortega
Blue Train by John Coltrane
Choices by The Kruger Brothers
Water From the Well by Jens Kruger

Yes, I have a very diverse listening style. This is hard, so I have to include other albums I like are:
Last of the Mohicans (Sound Track)
Chronicle, Vol 1 by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Yet another style that I really like listening to is Latin - salsa and meringue. However, I don't have any complete albums, just individual songs by Carlos Vives, Olga Tanon, Celia Cruz and others.

Usually I manage my tracks according to my mood like slow, Rock, fast, Romantic. I made folders of this and save tracks on them. So I listen tracks according to my mood. Just go to that folder and select your favourite ones.

What do you think guys about this idea.

I've recently bought the album 'Disconnect' by Jes (Brieden) which is easily the most played in the past few days.
She has an absolutely brilliant voice and her music clearly has many influences from different genres.

Top 5 Plays: (According to Last.fm)
Empty Streets, Late Night Alumni
Spellbound, Paul van Dyk ft Jan Johnston
Skydive, Freefall ft Jan Johnston
As the Rush Comes, Motorcycle
Say Hello, Deep Dish

I think there's some software that analyzes your songs for their "mood" (based on rhythm, bass, tempo, etc.), and arranges them accordingly.

Your manual approach can be very very tiring if you have a lot of songs
