I think it depends on the domain. If it has to do with an organization, I would say .org, otherwise I would say .net.

Depends on the context really. I prefer .net over .org personally, but both extensions can be good for different types of websites.

It really depends on the domain and the use. I like both.

I like both, but .net does have a certain sound when said "net" - internet.

Hi

I like .net better if you can get the name in it... but if only the .org is left and you want it then I would grab that..

I personally own names in both extensions, and for me it just depends upon the name and what is available. However, .ORG seems to be picking up greater popularity and viablility lately among those looking for usage with more than just organizations. That aside, [in general] .NET is typically hailed as the greater follow up to a .COM when the .COM is already taken, IMHO.

It really depends on the term, but in general I prefer .NET for resale purposes.

If it's in terms of pure reselling I would tend to lean heavily towards .net. However .org can be stronger than .net if the name is focused towards the extension with development in mind e.g. Charitable organizations or support groups etc.

.net historically possesses a greater reseller value, however, even with "for profit" websites; I have had a much easier time ranking with .org.

I would personally opt for .net, and have done so in the past when developing websites where the .com was taken. SEO results were great.

1. go for .net if it is domain only.
2. go for .org it it is a non-profit site.

I'm not sure how many people put up e-commerce websites on a dot org. I think normally, it is these e-commerce end-users who have the money to buy your domain, so might as well go with dot net (more buyer pool).

If the site is an organisation go for .org.
