.org is for an organization, unless you're nonprofit then go for .us. But if you aren't in the US, then use your own country code.

But I don't think that a free image hosting site is an organization.

I have to vote for .US,it's shorter,hipper,and fits your purpose better than .org. Org makes me think of the RedCross,AmericanHeartFoundation,PBS..Org doesn't strike me as an extension providing an online business/service.

I would go for .us . Under some circumstances, I would say .org, but for your type of site, which will most likely have a lot of ads, indicating profit, .org does not really fit, because it is normally used for non profit organizations.

I always refer to ImageShack.US; imagine how ImageShack.ORG would look -> it'd look cheap IMHO.

I don't think either. - out of the 2 .us seems to be more established for an image host. .org always makes me think of charities, or websites which are there to inform people, instead of give something. Even better would be a website where you utilise the TLD. .us is great for this. You could have hosting4.us (hosting for us) images4.us. It just sounds better. Hope this helps
