I had a domain name that i purchased around 3 years ago.

2 years ago i sold this name on SEDO for an XXX figure, whoever bought it has not renewed the name, and it's available again.

Should i buy it back up and sell it to them again? haha lol

No reason why you can't pick it up again.

As to offering to the former owner? If you have the nerve, why not?

Chances are, they dropped it on purpose, but you never know.

Cool, well for $10 i'm just about to snap it back up.

I looked up the Purchase and Sales agreement in sedo under 'transfer documents tab' and it displays the purchases name. I googled the name alongside the domains industry, and sure enough the buyers profile on linkedin popped up.

According to the buyers profile they still work for the same company in 'acqusitions and business dev.' so i may send a cheeky email, lol.

business is business.

I actually had something similar,

sold the name for $225 it dropped,

then available again and got an offer through sedo (when not in my control) it was in my account, but available to hand reg and the offer was for $400 so bought it for $6 or whatever and sold it to them :)

Happy days , oh happy days :)

Read someone recently dropped a .TV but left the Sedo page.

They got an offer of $250 (I think).

They went, regged it and then sold it. Quickest $200 ever made I think.

Now how can you have the page at sedo unless it was a direct offer page? because don't the name servers change when domain expires and dropped? I am confused because the domains I let go or expire before I renew are no more parked pages ( with my parking provider) but rather the Registrar's parking page...

When domain is in expiring stage SOME registrars change NS.
When domain is dropped there are no NS ;)

I think what they ment is domain was still listed on sedo's homepage.
So user looked for domain at sedo and not typed domain in browser.

When your domain expire, sure you cant access them anymore,
but are still at sedo's marktplace.:imho:

If it's a decent name, why not buy it again?

Sell it again & hope the next buyer also drops it :D
