Hello,

Can you please tell me what would make you to move from standard Shared Hosting account on a Cloud hosting?

1. A good price
2. High Availability service
3. Scalability
4. To save money I'd pay for Dedicated Hosting
5. If I can use cPanel/WHM on the cloud
6. Other, please specify in post

Please advise!

4. To save money I'd pay for Dedicated Hosting
I do not think that will help to save a lot of money though.

I moved for scalability, not much more expensive now but will be cheaper & easier as the site grows.

I would think that these would be mandatory for any hosting service, not optional.

Think with hosting going the way it is the main differentiator is service.

At least imho.

Cloud hosting offers protection for all the files and data that is hosted on the servers. It is a necessary tool in the information technology industry. You may consider the Plesk domain license as per your requirements. You can set Domain Alias for the domains which are not in use. These domains can be managed through Plesk. The cloud is a cluster of server nodes connected to redundant high speed raid enabled central storage.

I wouldn't move to cloud right now. I'm still not totally convinced of the stability/technology.

But yeah, what Samit says is true IMO - everything you list is pretty much a necessity.

I totally agree with you and Samit.
Pretty much sums it up.

I'd move to cloud hosting if i had a very busy website since scalability wouldn't be an issue.

I'm not sure that cloud hosting will have a significant impact on users at the shared hosting level as they will be able to find reliable providers with close to 100% uptime (if not 100% uptime) for less money

can also add my point that you will have have much better opportunities using cloud server hosting services.
the concept of cloud computing or cloud-based web servers comprises of multiple shared server resources on a hardware virtualized platform and can be accessed as a service.

At the moment I find cloud hosting rather slow in terms of I/O. Once the technology improves we would be willing to look into it.

I agree we tried it. For now were going to have the manual backup hd externals ect.

Don't think this is failsafe either make your own backups.

If you want to start reseller the service you need to have permission from your web hosting company.
