What will happen on Sedo if the winner didn't respond ?

lets say there are auction for a domain, in the auction like 6 bidders.
so there were competition between the 6 bidders and at the end of the auction one bidder wins .
so what will happen if the winner refused to respond and refused to buy the domain ??
will the sedo team cancel the all auction on that time or will they just make the top bidder from the other 5 bidders is the winner ???

If the winner does not respond to the transfer agent the sale is then canceled and domain is relisted back for sale.

The winners account is then closed.

The auction is cancelled and even if you can think it's unfair, i would say it's right if the no-paying bidder has partecipated in increasing the final price.

However, if the non-paying bidder has placed just the winner offer, there should be the chance, for the seller, to offer the domain to the second bidder at his price.

And i completely agree with the account closing policy.

this just happened to me, tho there was only one bidder. i sure hope the guy's account got closed. i asked the transfer agent about the repercussions and said i didnt think the nonpaying buyer should be allowed to remain active on sedo, and the question was ignored. judging from the date the buyer signed up, tho, it looks like he might've registered solely to buy this name. if so, having his account closed probably wouldn't make much difference to him. i'd still like to see him banned, tho.

Non paying bidders are a HUGE problem with SEDO.. They need to use some sort of feedback system like ebay or something, maybe issue non paying bidder alerts, as ebay does....

I wish there were some transparency like Ebay, where you can see who is bidding on your name. And at least have the option to sell the name to the next highest bidder if the high bidder doesn't follow through. You should also have the option to cancel/void someones bid, if they seem to be shady.

Agreed... They do need to do something... My non paying bidder percentage on ebay is maybe like 1%, while on SEDO, I'd say 40-50% of the winning bidders in my auctions haven't paid...

ya right i Agree with all of that, beside they haven't cancel the auction if the higher bidder refused to buy !!!, they have to offer the domain to the second higher bidder, right ?? !!!

I supppose this question should be sent to the SEDO and you need to ask them about the procedure

I wrote "there SHOULD BE.." etc..

Currently you can't sell the domain to the 2nd highest bidder even if you contact Sedo.
