It's hard to predict the trend,but the fact is that the prices of 4Ls.com/cn and 6Ns.com are almost in the bottom in China,so many investors are purchasing them in bulk.
And I WISH all the domains I own become the trend,LOL...

The trend: It will not be enough to own domain name in just one extension. End-users will need to combine multiple extensions (3 or 4 at least) to make an impact online. I foresee .com leading, followed by a couple of the short, top-level generic extensions such as .top, .xyz.
Long-tail niche extensions such as network, website, science, technology and the likes will all die natural death. IMO

I'd say drones still. Still in the very early infancy but once appropriate rules and regulations are in place and companies know them, they will be exploited.

Of course, some would argue this opinion is incorrect and it'll never happen, but I'm sure they said that about everything at one point or another (Internet, air travel, etc)
