This is a tad informal, so I'm posting it in The Break Room. Feel free to go off on a tangent or discuss; this isn't a strict survey.

We have plenty of statistics about what browsers our general visitors use, but it's also important for us to know what technologies are preferred by you guys: the active community.

What's your standard set-up? Do you use Google Chrome on Windows XP? Safari on Mac OS X Mavericks? Do you have a phone on which you'd like to receive updates?
_____________

I'll get us started. I have a laptop running Windows 8.1, and I usually use Chrome. I also have a Surface Pro 2 tablet, on which I use both Chrome and Internet Explorer 11. I don't use my phone much for NamePros, but I would if we offered better mobile support; it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.1.2, and I typically use Chrome. I have an Android tablet, too, but it doesn't see much use these days outside of multimedia. The oldest operating system in my house is Windows 8.1. *puts on sunglasses*

I'd like to see better mobile support. My phone beeps for plenty of useless stuff, like marketing e-mails; it'd be nice to get some notifications that I actually care about. The site isn't touch-friendly, but most of my devices have big screens, so it's not a huge issue (yet).

I'd also like the site to be more responsive. The fiber optic internet connection at my house is a speedy 85 Mbps, so I'm used to the web being fast; I brag that if a page takes longer than I second to load, I leave. NamePros is usually decent, especially with the switch to CloudFlare and HTTPS/SPDY, but it could be better.

Thanks.

NSA spying on me  No problem. They will never get me, since they will only find the truth from this IP on this side of the pond
