my first domain was
www.studentdwelling.com - got it about 6 years ago but didnt renew it
(this was going to be a listing site for student lodgings - wish i still had it)

my worst is
www.colour-me-in.co.uk - look at all those hyphens!
(still got this one, going to devolop it as an educational site for schools and parents. it will have a link to amazon so you can buy illustrated books ect.)

of course the problem with telling your domains is that it breaks the spell of anonymity. the forum we enjoy here is dependent upon our being identifed and evaluated solely by what we contribute to the board. revealing our true identities reveals us as ~normal people~

Interesting perspective, and a valid one, if you feel that way.

If maintaining your anonimity is important to you, I would suggest that you stay away from requesting name appraisals, (unless all of your whois info is cloaked).

Personally, I maintain a degree of privacy by being selective w/ my whois info, but because I am marketing domain names for sale, and have received offers from buyers who have located me through whois lookups, I prefer to be "available". There is very little I need to, or wish to hide from users at this forum.

I do, however, use a proxy server for purposes of anonimity, on occasion, while surfing the net- particularly when going to usenet groups.

Not sure if you were referring to my anon surfing. If so, there are certain usenet groups I have frequented where security could be an issue- particularly if I have entered a heated debate where recrimination is a possibility. At other times, there may be tracking issues involved. As time has gone on, it has become less and less of an issue, because I generally stay away from these groups/sites, unless there is some important info that I am looking for.

my first domain was apococyber.net. it was my first incorrect spelling, thought i was buying apocyber.net (an isp in florida). i used this for my first program, submitbuddy which later became submitworm. my worst, another misspell was artificalemotion.com - to be fair it was really late that night.
