discuss What to do with the infected cruise ship

Around 3700 passengers and crew are currently being quarantined due to the coronavirus that has already infected around 135 people aboard the ship.

What do you think should be done in this situation, is it fair for the healthy passengers and crew to be confined in such tight quarters with no fresh air or sunlight along with those who have already been infected.

I believe that it's best to find an uninhabited Island and move everyone there. China recently built a Hospital for coronavirus patients in less than a week and so it's doable to make some facilities on an uninhabited Island quickly and make it into a quarantine space for these poor people which many of them although being healthy but are condemned to being in close contact with the virus aboard the ship.

So lets move these people somewhere that they can have more space and be able to get fresh air and sunlight, and perhaps the same ship can be used to bring others to the quarantined Island.

PS: it's situations like this that also shows how important it is to have free access to adequate and timely medical care and attention for all people around the World. And in retrospect maybe the UN should have anticipated a problem such as this and had already built some quarantine Islands in different parts of the World.

Hi, I appreciate your candor and am glad that finally someone challenged my point of view in this thread.

Although I should be free to express my point of view and say what I think about this whole situation and since I have been very careful not to present my personal thoughts as facts I should like everyone else be extended the freedom of speech to say what's on my mind.

I wish that more people had participated in this thread and expressed their point of view in a positive and respectful manner without attacking or demeaning others for what they believe to be possible or probable.

I am not claiming to be a know it all and some of what I have said might have been a little far out as I had clearly indicated in some of my comments myself, but I believe that we can learn more through abstract thought and by using our imagination and that through exchange of ideas with others we might arrive at certain conclusions that everyone can agree on or at least make everyone look at things in a different way that perhaps they had not thought of before.

I believe that cruise ships can provide a fun and joyful environment for those who are seeking new adventures and like to travel around the World (that is of course after things get back to normal).

Although we all might have different ideas as to what a fun and joyful environment is and that is why I have been saying all along that we all need to try to find common grounds over the Universal Principles and Values that are derived through Logic and Compassion that can help Humanity ascend to a higher level of thinking and existence.

I believe that humanity as a whole should be allowed to evolve to become a force for good that is going to be able to free itself and all the other lifeforms and entities that it shares its existence with from all that has been ailing the World (perhaps the Universe) and that no one should be excluded or left behind as we all enter a new era of understanding and compassion for one another and for our home planet and all that it contains.

I am very much interested to know your point of view on some of the subjects that have been discussed here as I am always eager to learn from what others can ad to these discussions.

I agree that this thread has evolved beyond its original title at certain points, but some of the thought provoking comments made by me are just that to provoke new thoughts that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. I guess I can cut down on some of those far out ideas and notions for the time being and leave it up to the future generations to sort it all out in the next few centuries.

As to the other viruses that you had mentioned I am hopeful that all the research and progress that has been recently done in containing the Coronavirus can help create a platform for coming up with new vaccines and methods that can bring many of those other diseases under control.

Just saying, a drop in oxy levels is a marker for covid 19 and you mightve saved yourself both the worry and the doctor's bill. A $20 blood oximeter can give good information but there are better ones priced up to $100. And its basically instant results.

PS: I have my own built in oxygen level sensor, that is when I can't think of any new domains to register I know that my oxygen level must be a little low.

But in all seriousness I have heard that If the oxygen saturation level gets too low (like in the 80s) it's very important to get on oxygen immediately before disorientation and confusion start to set in. It makes all the difference for Covid patients how soon they were put on oxygen when they first started showing symptoms of breathing difficulties.

From what I understand oxygen saturation level should be above 95% , ideal is like 97 or 98%. If it gets lower than 95% you need to seek medical advice, and as already mentioned if it drops into the 80's it becomes an emergency situation as lack of oxygen can cause brain damage and could be fatal without immediate intervention.

There is alao a condition known as Happy Hypoxia that is associated with Covid in which the person might not show any visible symptoms, but might be suffering from lack of oxygen which also requires immediate attention.

Warning:

Even after getting vaccinated for Covid everyone still needs to abide by all the hygiene and Pandemic protocols and guidelines for the sake of all those who might not yet be able to get the vaccine.

People need to realize that even if they themselves don't feel sick, but they can still transfer the virus from one environment to another through their body, clothes, shoes, or any object that they might be carrying around.

The same situation is probably true for pets, even though they might not be affected by the virus directly in large numbers at the present time, but they can still carry the virus on their paws, on their tongue, or on their coat. It's sad to see that journalists and activists are being silenced all around the World for exposing the truth.

It seems like the virus has gotten a firm grip over the World right now and it appears that some people have chosen to serve it instead of serving the Humanity.

Showing extreme cruelty and lack of empathy for others is a hallmark of how these microorganism entities operate. These are the same entities who promote lust and promiscuity amongst us and tell us not to wear masks in order to expand their control and reach over more of our population and these are the same entities who promote inequality and who have been channeling people into prisons by putting abnormal and criminal thoughts in the minds of our youth.

And these are the same entities who promote torture and war and make us hate and kill each other.

Promoting kindness and compassion is the only way to fight these inhumane forces.
