What the hell just happened to me at DNF???

So I joined DNF as another resource tonight for $19.95.
I immediately get an automated message recommending an e-Book

"The Domain Guide To Success"

The reciept page thanks me for buying what looks like an unrelated e-book:

It's $69 but they say I get a lifetime membership at DNF, etc... but there seems to be no follow up nor connection to the DNF. No membership boost for it. The helpdesk on the page goes to a parked page that talks about car sales.

The picture of the book looks like the e-book is just loaded with content like a book I'm going to read, but it's just a 15 page PDF with a lot of links mostly to things I have to spend more money on to get. I'm starting to feel scammed and ripped off here, yet DNF looks like a lively forum, so I don't get it.

They promise a refund if not satisfied, and I'm sure not satisfied.
I'm getting very tempted to call my bank and report fraud and escalate this, especially if I don't get a refund soon.

Is that the ebook you were refering to in your other post? It looks like you got what you asked for, strangely.

It looks like the message on the receipt say "you can get an upgrade for free if you send them an email with user name and password"

so for 19.99 you get the platinum membership. and that's a $60 value, you just save a wooping $40 USD. :tu: :sold:

First ask them for refund before going to bank.

Sounds like a scam.

Yes- it has not got much of a reputation, only frequented by some of THE top domainers on the net and owned by one of them.

Would you like to back up your comment :?
