As the world economy sinks deeper into depression every day, and domainer to domainer sales are few and far between and activity in the sale threads have almost come to a complete stop. I wanted to share my thoughts on the economy, domaining and life.
It has hardly escaped anyone that if you want more than reg fee for your domains you better start contacting end users. Because that’s where the money is today.
It feels like every domainer is posting domains for sale, but no one is buying or even reads the For Sale threads any more :td:
Come on people... It's not the end of the world because the news media says so! It's up to you if you want to participate in this recession or not. If we all sit on our butts not spending any money and only hoping to sell someday. Who are going to buy your domains?
Are we going to wait until Obama decides to bailout the domainers with a $1 Trillion package?
Aint gonna happen! The more names we buy from each other, the more money we will ALL have to buy even more names. Thus creating a positive upward spiral.
The financial crisis has more to do with psychology than reality :imho:
Have you seen the movie Sneakers? There is a great scene between Robert Redford and Ben Kingsley that goes like this...
Problem: People think a bank might be financially shaky.
Consequence: People start to withdraw their money.
Result: Pretty soon it is financially shaky.
Conclusion: You can make banks fail.
It's happening as we speak! Maybe you've heard about a few? Think bigger.
It's happening to the stock market, Currency market, Commodities market and even small countries. Can you say Iceland? Followed by the Baltic countries and then Eastern Europe. USA, China, Japan and the rest of the world.
It can very quickly spiral out of control, and the more afraid the people gets, the tighter they hold onto their wallets. Result: Even more people loses their jobs and so on...
What if the people in this world all decided simultaneously to pretend like the recession / depression NEVER happened? It does NOT exist!
If we believe in the illusion of a depression it will sooner or later materialize in the real world. If our inner belief can turn the depression into reality, then we should also be able to turn the illusion of wealth and prosperity into reality! After all it's only thoughts in your head.
There are only two kinds of money problems
One problem is not enough money. The other problem is too much money.
Which type of money problem do you want?
Since money is only an idea, if your idea is that there is not enough money, then that is what your reality will be.
Whatever your reality is about money inside of you is the reality of money outside of you. You cannot change your outside reality until you first change your inside reality about money.
The more security you need, the more scarcity there is in your life. What you need to ask yourself is how you can take your creative ideas and create a world of abundance rather than a world of scarcity.
You dont need more FEAR in your life, being force feed into us by the media. You need COURAGE to take a step into the unknown away from your comfort zone and realize you dreams.
Make it happen!
