What Kind Of Keyword Ads Are These?

I have seen keywords of articles being underscored (or double underscored). When the mouse cursor hovers over them, an Ad pops up that one can click if one wishes.

Presumably PPC fees are earned when visitors clicks on such pop up ads.

See, for example:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/n/nms.asp
where the keywords "trading" and "otc stocks" are underscored.

Anyone has any experience with such Ads? How do they compare with normal PPC and AdSense Ads in terms of revenues and effectiveness?

How does one sign up for such programs?

It is similar to Clicksor, but not the same.

In the case of Clicksor, you have to click to close the pop-up ad, but you don't have to do that in the case of Investopedia.

In other words, it is better implemented than Clicksor.

Agreed but if you look at the 500,000 page view minimum per month of text content just to get in.

The pages have to have alot of text. Link articles. I get over 2 million page views but not all on text content so they rejected me.

I wish they didnt as it looks very well done and very non intrusive.
