What is your opinion of pay per call advertising. Because of VOIP, will this be the future in advertising. Do you think it will ever replace pay per click?

as in voip telemarketing -- or some kind of automated telemarketing. Get too many of those. Never pay any attention to a recording. As I am in advertising I remember my very first automated phone call. It was mike tyson asking me to watch his next fight. pay per View. I did of course - But would have even without the call.

maybe you could specify a bit...

Maybe before you can make a call, a voice ad comes on first?? That would be so damn annoying... If there will be any kind of voice ads over VOIP I will stick with landlines...

This country went to hell the second they started putting ads in movies at the theater...

I love TV ads at the movies... it gives me an extra 10 minutes to get to the theater to see the movie previews!

Can't say whether pay per call advertising will replace pay per click advertising as pricing for pay per call is much more expensive than pay per click and on the other hand chances of converting a phone call versus a website visitor will be significantly higher.

when 1 to 1 marketing is automated it feels just like mass marketing these days. No - even worse - it is really intrusive.

The days of the African rich person who needs to get his money out of the state before the government or rebels get it are all over - the latest is your rich distant relative.

I got one the other day that my relative Andrew Fleege had died. It was pretty convincing: Kinda like. Dont know if you knew him but he kept and eye on you and all his relatives in his family tree. Now that he has passed his massive fortune will be didvided equally. Since you live i states we need you to....

My heritage share of $20,000 should arrive any minute now. As soon as my money wire of $950 for the handling fees has cleared. : )

Pay-Per-Call instead of Pay-Per-Click advertising connects a motivated buy with a business via phone instead of just a click to their web site. Cost more, but I would think would generate more sales. In fact a business does not even need a web site, just an ad in search engine or on a parked domain. Much faster than email if there were questions about pricing or product, Etc.
Please correct me if I have the wrong slant on this.
