Mine $10K-20K a year.
Present portfolio of 190 domains has a substantial investment in it as I don't do hand registers & mostly buy from Godaddy expired auctions.
Need to pay big there :)

Sorry for this off-topic question.
If you won an expired GD auction at the price of. let say, $500, what is the actual money that you paid to GoDaddy which is including taxes, etc?

I saw an estimated taxes of 20% from the price as the component of the cost that we should paid too. So, based on my calculation, for $500 name won at auction, we have to pay about $615, which include renewal fee ($14.99) and the 20% taxes (20%*$500=$100). Am I correct?

It totally depends on where in the world you live.

Rumors tell me that Cayman Islands is a popular place for domainers ;)

I am surprised to see that many votes for $0-$100 per year.

At that level, its not even called a hobby.

I am surprised to see many $50,000

That is $500,000 in 10 years and only 63 people will spend $31,500,000 in 10 years.

If you making money in domaining then buy as much as you can. If you can not liquidate then be conservative Do not bite more than you can chew.

Why do you want to know? These are personal questions and no one will tell you the truth.

Everyone will tell you they have a BIG budget but in turn they only buy in the $1 auction.
It's like asking how many times do I make love a year!!!

Really? I was thinking the other way around: I'm embarrassed to say how high my costs are. It means my profit margin is less impressive.

My costs are high because I like to give each of my servers a .ninja hostname. It's not an addiction, I swear.
