I just added a streaming audio clip to www.lookwhatdavefound.info (player controls load under the sidebar calendar). Let me know what you think

I like the streaming option but that file is almost 600k including the player so it might be out of reach for anyone not having broadband. Maybe I'll just put a link for downloads in the future.

I had to read from a script and it still took a number of "takes" before I could do it decently (without mistakes, coughing, clearing throat, etc.).

Web Audio Plus (which, coincidentally I have the resale rights to ).. it records the audio (or loads a file) and creates the player and code. I didn't do any editing.. but it took me several takes before I could do it without mistakes.

comcast it popped up quick, on dialup it did take a minute or so, but I don't think it was too horrible.

The pulsating play button got a little irritating, like, i'm trying to read and the Play button is flashing in my face, other than that very nice, Why not join the radio :p ?

Thanks.. I wouldn't mind if it's the last thing to load, so long as it doesn't hold up the rest of the site from loading.

Hm, I wouldn't have thought that would be distracting but then the app allows you to choose from several different player control sets. That was just the first I chose..

I plan to change it soon.. will experiment a bit more and maybe add them to my other sites too.

Just changed the audio message and player controls.. the new message is less than 100kb.. a friend said it sounded robotic but it sounded ok locally.. then again, what does she know anyway? lol
