The past few days there hasn't been any names added to the closeout section. The newest domains are showing 1D 20H left... Usually it's 5D... Anyone know what the heck is going on?

Yes, godaddy wasn't making enough money, so now their closeouts start at $9, and drop $1 per day till they get to $5 and drop pending delete. If you want to snipe an auction, it will cost you $9 now.

Don't need to hear, see it, go to godaddy auctions and look for yourself, doesn't take more than a few clicks to see it.

The point I was trying to make is that I am not seeing it... All I am noticing is that there are no more domains being added under closeouts? I'm not doubting you, but where are the domains?

I have it open right now they are in the same section, just click the Price and you will see the $9 names, as it filters most expensive to cheapest.

why do they all show 19H left? at $9? I'm still not seeing any names that have been added in the past few days.

19 hours left at $9, then they drop to $8 and so on...

Lol... I guess searching by time left isn't going to be an option anymore.

Thanks wwwweb for the info. Would have been nice to get an email from GD explaining this crazy new system.

Yes, the lack of any new domains being added is what I noticed. The idea of a $5-9 variable pricing strategy doesn't surprise me...they have tinkered with closeout pricing before. But there seems to be more to them changing the way expired domains will be handled over all. I haven't looked too closely yet, but it seems there should be some $10 expired auction domains ending over the past few days and those domains are going somewhere besides the "closeouts" section. As noted, there doesn't seem to be any explanation from GoDaddy and I wouldn't hold my breath expecting it any time soon. I guess we'll figure it out and talk about it and then all will make sense once again. Happy new year!

I too have noticed something funny with this. I was afraid that they weren't doing any more of these or something. Scary.

When the domain hits the Firesale Closeout, they immediately have 1 day left @ $9. Next day 1 day left at $8, etc.
