I am just curious. What happened to the people on namepros? I have been a member since 2003 and have always got help when needed. BUt it seems the past few days I cant even get a reply to my posts.

I just dont get it. I will have to figure out how to do what I need on my own . Thanks a bunch everyone.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Hey Donnie! Sorry you didn't get the help you needed. There are still plenty of people on NamePros. Activity is strong. I just noticed your threads didn't get many views compared to other similar threads. If I may offer a couple suggestions,

Try using a longer, descriptive title when creating your thread. The last three you created were all one word titles ("Wanted", "wanted", and "Recommedations") Ones like this will often get skipped over, where a more descriptive title can catch the attention of someone who specializes in what you're seeking. (ie: "Seeking Joomla Developer")

Also make sure you're posting in the best forum for what you're seeking. Your two most recent threads were posted in "Web Designs For Sale" and "Developers For Hire" respectively, and these two areas were really intended for posts that area offering those services and not for wanted posts. Try posting in the main "Web Development Wanted" area instead.

I wish I could help with your inquiries, but those questions are out of the scope of my expertise. If you have any suggestions for me to improve the site, feel free to share.

Best of luck,
RJ

Yeah as RJ said there's still plenty of people here ready to help you (myself included).

What you're looking for is quite specific, you should definitely try RJs suggestions and I'm sure you'll find the right person to help you. :)

QUICK EDIT:
Here's the archive of kitcars.com and shows the components designed by "Mitchell Koester" back in 2000 - http://web.archive.org/web/20000817040732/www.kitcars.com/contact.asp

You can watch the site design (from May 10 2000) become modified over the years. Looks like a custom script to me.

I have been toying with different CMS and such but just cant seem to get what im looking for. I will keep looking and see if anyone has any ideas. Thanks for your help.

Just to pick up on what -RJ- said about the title of the thread.

I know I personally skip over a majority of threads (I only read what interestes me or grabs my attention). With the titles of the threads that you had I personally probably wouldn't even click on the thread and read it unless I had nothing else to do.

Well, if you're not getting any replies anywhere near the Appraisals area, don't be surprised and don't expect anything unless you offer a nice incentive like $10 via Paypal for every appraisal or something. ยฌยฌ

I've been waiting since February to get an appriasal on a domain I posted in there, I bumped my topic so many times (like 5) over the course of like 3 weeks and no one said anything so I gave up.

All I can say is that NamePros isn't what it used to be, I'm not saying that to be mean (and it's not the staff's fault or anythign I don't think), I'm saying that as a fact. I joined a year and a half ago and back then bumping your own topics was unheard of - now it's the least you can do for attention when you need help.

I think a lot of the problem is just how many threads there are. A lot of the threads just get bumped down so fast where nobody sees them.
