Hi Guys

I must say I like the forum software used for namePros, and was just wondering what software this is?

Thanks

You can Google it to get more information about it.

OK, thanks for that.

Yes, we use XenForo, although we've modified significant portions of it. We also have a large and growing number of add-ons that we've developed in-house.

Thanks @accelerator for asking the question, and to @Paul Buonopane for the full answer. I was wondering the same question myself, so I searched for this in the search box and arrived here.

My top favorite features of the NamePros site are (in no particular order) shown below. I wasn't sure though which of these are custom add-ons vs part of the package:
1. Alerts when logging on
2. Profile badges with messages and likes received
3. Absolutely superb responsiveness between desktop and mobile - IMHO this is where 90% of forum software, paid or free, falls down.
4. Domain Chat
5. Sensitive categories labelled clearly and/or hidden from non-logged-in users
6. Ability to see who last responded to a thread and when, without having to open up that thread.
7. MOST OF ALL THE MULTI-QUOTE FEATURE!! Amazing!
8. Ability to do 'likes' and 'thanks' - it definitely increases user engagement I think.

This is a wonderful forum, and I think a huge part of that is the underlying software - both the standard base of it and custom-built add-ons.

@Vivi Many of the features you've listed are actually provided by the XenForo core, at least to some extent. With the exception of the multi-quote feature, we've customized all of them, though.
