since i don't know the domain for obvious reason it will help a lot if you do the whois on which the domain was registered.

so if it's regged on godaddy, doing whois on whois.godaddy.com is much more accurate than doing it anywhere else.

What about the other site that I got a backorder with? Or am I better off going with tdnam.com

see if that domain is listed for auction on tdnam.com first and then bid right away if you really want the domain.

i don't know with the other sites you mentioned if they're allowing refunds.

so it's a .com?
read this
On the 25th day following your domain registration's expiration date, we place your domain for auction on the Domain Name Aftermarket (TDNAM). You can call customer support to renew your domain, subject to any applicable renewal and redemption fees.

For expired .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .US, .WS, .NAME, .CC, .TV, or .JOBS domain registrations, we hold your domain for approximately 42 days before cancelling it.

What is your process for handling expired domains?

You backordered at the right places. Don't bother with TDNAM. They don't have the resources to capture their own domains. It will drop soon. Less than 30 days. About 72-78 days after it expired. This status means it's already passed the TDNAM auction without any bids, and is on it's way to deletion.

The domain name expire on september 2008 I though for some strange reason it was december 2008. when I check the status today it said it will be deleted december 4, 2008. Is this a good sign? I backorder it at

Namejet
snapnames
pool
