Hey, i just started a site not long ago to promote my self before going to university. It's still under construction, so i'm hoping for some suggestions/critisms/recommendations etc, any thing, good or bad ... i dont mind, i'm still a beginner at 16 years of age and still learning. So all comments will be appreciated. Site is still under construction. :tu:
heres the link to my site,

Use padding within those content boxes! Text should NOT be touching the border. The rest is looking good though ;)

What do you mean by using padding ?? do you mean having some kind of image along the left of all text ??

Easy on the eye color scheme, I like it. Nice header on the page itself.

My suggestions (in order of my subjective importance):

- Make the web site accessible in more than IE, most importantly Firefox. My Firefox renders it totally wrong, Konqueror rather fine but with minor flaws. I had to switch to the laptop running Windows to even write this set of suggestions.

- Skip the adsense ads alltogether. In my opinion ads aren't suitable at all on a portfolio-type site.

- Skip the intro. I see no use in having the intro page at all.

- Lose some 50 pixels or more of the header image. It takes too much height from the browser span in my opinion.

- As suggested above. Add some padding within your content holders to make it a bit more 'airy'. It can applied to most object by adding style="padding:10px" or by alternative means of applying styles on elements.

It may seem like alot of critique but other than the first point I think you have done a great job.

nice design but:

Dont click on the advertisement if you dont feel comfortable with it

is a bit corny, the advert looks too much like your site and people will click it thinking it is part of your site and you will lose visitors because of it i think, otherwise very very nice design.

the navigations are simple.maybe you could create icons to replace it? just a suggestions.

and the google ads, maybe you should remove it to the right.put it on your sidebar.

and the home text box,i'm not sure its due to my screen resolution or me using firefox, but it dosent seems to be aligned with the updates box below it.

How can i make it accessible for other browsers?? Because i only use internet explorer. And the ads .. Just thought i might put them in hoping to get something out of it.... because i thought if i made it blend in with the rest of my website, it wont bother the audiences experience..

Why not have intro??? i've seen alot of portfolio sites having intros, oh i'm planning to remove that flash on the intro, many people found it annoying.

Thanks for your comments, didn't know what padding was till now, thanks heaps.
