plenty of similar names still available (used domain suggester on my site in sig to generate a few)

such as

advertisementcontext.com

What are people's thoughts on this? Do you think it will be as successful as adsense or ypn?

Sounds like a smart idea on their part. I've always been surprised at some of the google keywords ebay buys that don't even link to a relevant auction. It's probably a good thing for ebay sellers as well to get links from relevant sites in addition to a search engine.

I think it is a great companion to adsense/ypn As a publisher you will have another revenue stream SO if you have a site about fashion/style you have your content, an affiliate program link or banner, adsense and ebay. Most likely every surfer familiar with EBAY and might click and bid in the auction. Another revenue channel

I sell on eBay and, for those who don't know, the sellers over there, particularly those with stores, are very angry. Ebay is constantly coming out with stupid ideas and neglecting real problems, on all levels. The "particular sites" in the above quote looks to me like the auctions of a few selected sellers will get all the benefit of this program.

Might be better than now, though. I have found Ebay ads using the exact wording of my listing titles of unique items that lead to lists of sellers with my name nowhere to be found.

Looks interesting, but everyone will try to target products that sell the most, and the highest. Which is what they are saying that the smaller sellers wouldn't really benefit.
