What about .me.uk?

Hey guys..

So I guess .me.uk is kinda like .name but more for citizens of the uk, however available to anyone to register.

So what about a popular name in that extension? Would that be worthe the reg? What do you think?

The name gets 360million returns on Google and the "name" gets ant OVT of almost 10,000.

Should I reg it? I usually only stick to the .coms but I'm trying something new

.co.uk names are very popular. Definitely worth it, but the good ones are taken already.

well I just tried to reg the .co.uk I had in mind and now it says it's not available.. Bummer..

However I do have a really good .co.nz that is availabe in mind. I just saw how much it is to reg though.. OMG that's alot of green.. .. How do those do?

Sometimes the co.uk whois has some problems. I also was very excited sometimes about finding good domain names, but lately saw that they were actually not available.

As for .me.uk, do not reg it until it is not related to a personals/dating website.

I think love.me.uk would be worth something, or dating.me.uk, but if it does not fit the extension perfectly, do not register it.

.co.uk are huge - www.domainprices.co.uk has the day to day sales but its very common to hear of unreported £xx,xxx sales and some £xxx,xxx sales.

When you consider the £ > $ rate it is quite impressive

.me.uk generally has little undeveloped worth.

.co.nz is growing however remember the population size is quite limited!

I'm not sure.. .. GoDaddy lets me go throught the checkout process for a .co.nz, so I think other countries can reg it too?

Costs have dropped lately to £11.75 for a transfer - it used to be £35

There is a paper transfer still however it does give added security - I dont believe a .uk has ever been stolen

I'm an EU citizen and have a .co.nz without problems.

Back to .me.uk- I have two-
A two character one, ready in case there is a buy-out and these get some value
And one keyword that fits nicely with the 'me' extension. No offers, no enquiries, no clicks, no hits. I only got it because it was nice (and cheap) haven't decided what to do with it yet.

I would avoid this extension really. (Unless you want to buy-out all of the NL and LNs? )

Q. Who can register a .nz domain name?
A. Registrants need to be identifiable individuals over 18 years of age or properly constituted organisations. Registrants do not need to be based in New Zealand nor does their domain name need to be hosted in New Zealand.
