this is my neighborhood- its a small town- we were all under lockdown last night as helicopters shined their lights all in our houses- our whole neighborhood was up calling each other- i have kids- i was shaking like a leaf
the guy killed the cop 2 blocks away from me- this is such a tragedy ;-(

Smash, I am very sorry to hear about this tragic event in your town. I am glad to hear that you and your family are well and safe.

thanks everyone-

turns out alison was stabbed to death, and he came here to his parents to get the gun and then shot the cop 5 times ;-( we thought a hunter was out off season when we heard it (hunting area) his two young kids, 6 and 3 was there while he stabbed her- after he shot the officer, he left the kids alone in his parents house and tried to get away.

people are just trying to put pieces together and make sure the kids are safe- as scared as we were while this guy was loose in our neighborhood, nothing compares to what those kids have gone thru- please keep them in your prayers if you pray- they are gonna need years of counceling after seeing that-

on a happier note, my new teenager had a smashing birthday

Sorry to hear this as well. Unfortunately this type of stuff happens too often in the US. People have too easy access to guns.
