To look for available domains there are several domain lists here in Namepros that other members have compiled for you to view and or reg.,
To reg available domain names, also can be done here at Namepros under the Domain Services tab.

Hope this helps :)

The ideas (for domains) are from my head, crazy as it is ... :snaphappy: :p

All the best!

Think of some keywords, then go to justdropped.com and see what's recently become available.
I don't do that much any more because it's extremely taxing on the brain especially if you're a speed reader like me.

My new favourite way to get names is from TV. I'll get inspiration from an ad or tv show. For different word combinations or celeb names, not typos or names to squat on.
I've got some really great names like this and it's much easier than the first option especially if you watch as much TV as I do. ;)

If you like scanning through lists of thousands of dropped names, I'd recommend justdropped.com, if you're more creative then I'd say use your imagination. It'll get you further.
