I originally posted this to where only staff could see it... however, given the situation, I'm now posting this publicly..

Many of you probably do not know that a couple years ago my mother (her name is Rosetta) was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, and had surgery + chemo/radiation (2007). She has been cancer free... until now, because after speaking with the surgeon & her doctor (after looking at the results of a PET scan), they believe the cancer has come back.

Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer has the highest fatality rate of any cancer, most people who are diagnosed live no more than 6 months... 5% live up to 5 years, < 1% go into long term remission and remain cancer free.

I'm probably not going to be on much, in the coming weeks/months, depending on what we found out Thursday from her doctor... but I ask anyone who is religious at all... please pray for my mother...

I am not really religious but i will cross my fingers for your mothers recovery, if she survived it one time she will do it a second time!!

Some semi-good news

I say semi-good, because, we're still not 100% sure - however the doctor and her radiologist said that more than likely the cancer is not back - that it's scar tissue from the radiation she did a couple years ago. But, to be sure, they are getting her an appointment with her surgeon so he can take a look at PET/CAT scan results.
