About a week ago, I posted a sale (on several forums) consisting of almost 400 two-word .com's & .net's. Today, I received this email:

"Hello
I would like to buy all of your domains but i have one
request! Please try to sign up with these names at
Trafficz.com and if you get accepted I will buy all
your names 100% because this is why I would like to
purchase your portofolio, I wish to buy and park at
Trafficz.com but I dont want to buy your names and
get rejected! Waiting your reply as soon as posible,
thank you"

(Then he pasted in the list of domains from that sale.)

Anybody get something like this before?

Ignore it. If they request anything BUT a purchase price for your domain they are most likely bogus as they want you to aid their business.

Not really sure it is bogus. Trafficz is a recognized service, and I doubt they would do this. And you can easily move your domains from there, if you want to. I somewhat understand the buyers concern, though it shows he is not a pro.

Anyway be very careful, use only escrow if the sale succeeds.

Your potential buyer seems like an average individual who wants to make sure that your portfolio is worth buying. Trafficz.com tend to only accept quality domains if i'm not mistaken. In this business we all have to be careful.

I sent this reply:

"Hello,

Thanks for your message. I am interested in your
offer, but I would like some more information.

Are you a member of any of the domain forums? Or can
you provide any references of other people you have
bought domains from?

Regards,
Dave"

We'll see what happens.

I've been contacted by a few people from Turkey that have asked me to open a Trafficz account for them. I guess a bunch of spamm originates from Turkey.

Sell them the names but don't give up your account unless you make sure that you can't be held liable for any fraud on the account.

What happened with this Randomo? Anybody?

Any chance there was an affiliate link in the Trafficz link?

No idea what another angle could be.

He wrote back:

"Unfortunetly I do not have a DNF username because I am new to this industry, i hope this is not a problem! This is my first purchase and I was thinking you will be my reference in the future!"

Little alarm bells were ringing in my head, so I decided to let this matter drop. I didn't reply, and I haven't heard back from him.

I'm pretty sure this would be against TrafficZ's ToS. I'm also sure that giving up your TrafficZ account to a complete stranger would be insane.
