Weird e-gold error

Hello guys,

I get the following error message when trying to access my e-gold, I just do not know what is wrong. I do not use an open proxy or such thing as they claim.

Unable to login to account.

Access denied

The IP you are using to access the e-gold website (84.36.10.9) appears to be either an open proxy or otherwise exploited. You will not be permitted to access e-gold services from this IP while this condition continues.

Your first order of business to restore access should be to make sure that you are computing securely. Please read and implement e-gold's Security Recommendations.

After you have resolved any security issues, including virus removal, it may take a day or two for your access to be re-enabled.

Almost everyone is getting the same error ! Personally I use a proxy to access my account !

Actually there are some solutions like :

1 ) Change your IP Adress (If it is static , just turn off and on your modem)
2 ) Go at www.proxyresources.com and use that proxy to access e-gold

IMO it is very dangerous to use a proxy for accessing your paypal or e-gold account. Your account could well be flagged and limited for suspicious activity.
The big issue is that unless the proxy is yours you cannot be sure that your traffic isn't being logged (passwords etc).

Same precautions needed when using wifi hotspots while on the move. There must be some rogue base stations here and there.

The problem was they insisted that I use open proxy to use their services while I was not. Perhaps It is some settings from my ISP provider which I can't help. What can I do

I regularly get that problem. What I do is restart my modem so my ISP gives me a new IP address.
