"An idiot does not a smart buyer make"
This idiot buyer will soon be pounded out carried out on a stretcher
.co.uk domains don't get that much type-ins (if that) compared to the .com
Typical dreamer:
- He spent $500,000 - now he has no more money for advertising (google etc)
- Or his other ventures will subsidize this losing venture
The days when you could put up a site with a bunch of affiliate links & make tons of money are long gone
Users, most simply just type in "web hosting" in the Google search engine...
All this type-in shit is just a domainer soundbite meme.
It will not provide an adequate return or sustain an $500,000 "investment"
Type-ins, if that, constitute a tiny fraction of the visitors to any site.
Type-ins might be great (wind behind your sails) if the cost of the name was reg fee or very low...but for $500,000...they should be expecting a huge return ...and a free daily massage. LOL
PS
Give it 1-2 year & this domain will be back on the market after he sees the miniscule annual return (from the $500,000 principal)...
And the above is without even considering the overhanging issue of new .UK domains...bwahaha
:bah:
