Log in to Sedo, do a search for frankschillingsucks.com and go to the offer page. Scroll down and click "Learn more about the seller". If you're familiar with a certain Grand Cayman, you'll see that the seller is none other than Frank Schilling himself (as usual for Frank, the minimum offer is $5000). But even more shocking is the seller's description: "For more information or to make an offer on this domain, please contact Dave Evanson at (617) 499-7222 or Dave.Evanson (at) Sedo.com."

So, it looks like this premium domain name was afforded the luxury of a personal broker. Meanwhile, some of us have had very good domains rejected for reasons known only to Sedo. But the fact is this: Frank Schilling had his brokerage request accepted simply because he is Frank Schilling.

I'm going to telephone this clown Dave Evanson and give him a piece of my mind. I'll tell him that I don't appreciate him and his colleagues declining to broker legitimate domains only to pull a farce like this. Such blatant favoritism on the part of Sedo is an insult to their user base and a scourge on the domain industry.

This thread started off quite well...

In the title 'The Importance of Connections', great topic, connections are very important in this industry.

Then a little bit of domain humour, always a welcome break.

Then it all goes downhill FAST from there.

One of the reasons why Sedo no longer interests me is their blatant favoritism. It really is an old boys club. Another is their complacency and do-nothing attitude for the sky-high fees that they charge. There has to be better alternatives than this aging monolith...

LOL.

Seriously it didn't occur to you that it is a bulk setting that was applied to the whole portfolio ?

It did.

1) Not all of Schilling's domains on Sedo have a broker.

2) Even if that were true, it would just prove my point. Both Schwartz and Schilling have their fair share of pigeon **** domains in their portfolio. Such a "bulk setting" would thus constitute favoritism.

Such a shame.
On the other hand can you blame a business for extending preferential treatment to VIP customers.
I'm sure the brokers at Sedo are eagerly waiting for offers on frankschillingsucks.com - no TM issues and plenty of possible end users.
