OK - so I know everyone is not typing in WebcastDownload and WebcastDownloads. (Although the "quoted" form returned over 25,000 on Yahoo, which isn't bad for a download term that's up-and-coming.) I say that isn't the point of these regs.

The pont is the future. "Speculation". Webcasts are coming along. And people are going to want to download them and keep them. (Especially the good ones.) They will want to have them on their mobile devices, etc. and share them with their friends. I must also quickly add that I would have forever hated myself if I had watched these names go the way of MusicDownload.com and VideoDownload.com etc. (Not equating the names.... just the pain if someone else had snagged them and sold them.

I am not of developer quality to make something great out of these names as they should be... so I need reseller and enduser amounts if possible. (Please don't tell me they would be worth more developed into sites where people can get webcast downloads. It will just reinforce in my mind, my own lack of knowledge and ability.)

Ok, so here is the cold-water-in-the-face question:

Would you please appraise the names. General input would be appreciated as well. (But we all love a number.)

The main problem i have with this domain is that it seems to run on too long at 16 characters. Why do we suppose someone would be willing to type or better yet recall such a domain? Ok now that I have said that it may make a good link from a TLD. This is mid xx.

Wow, thanks for the quick response.

First, I used to be worried about length, but the sales this year recorded at dnjournal.com have pretty much caused me to forget that concern... especially for generic terms. (Not saying that variable is unimortant... just saying there are more "long domains" now than ever.. I suppose out of necessity.

Secondly, you may have a great point with th TLD... if it were used as the tag... with any webcast that could be downloaded.... the link by the webcast frame. That would totally make the length of no importance... Maybe that's why the long ones are having so much success these day.. They are great for clicking if not typing. No one cares how long a domain is when they click it for use. That's what bookmarks are for.
