Hello, i hope i have the right board. I have designed sites in the past and have actually come up with some pretty nice looking layouts. I used to have one design that had a cow pattern for the graphic boarder windows and it had a really nice navigation and color scheme. However there were many times i just got lucky. My problem is when i use a program like firworks MX for the graphics part, i create what i want the site layout to look like and then i cut it up and put it in seperate little files so i can put it in my html code. However every time i do this i end up haveing a bunch of image files with different sizes and when they are al different sizes they don't line up properly. My question is simple. I would like to know what program is the best for creating the design of the site and how to cut the images up right so they line up in the html tables of the page. I just got CorelDraw 10 installed on my computer as a sprt of second try at creating web site graphics but i didn't really dive in yet so i am hoping this forum will help me out a little. Also, if you know any places where there are tutorials for this exact thing please let me know. It will save both the responder and me a lot of time is there is already a tutorial on this. Thanks in advance.

use the slice tool it does it all for you then just set the image as a background picture on the table section

ahh i c

So then it will automatically turn each sliced spot into its own seperate file then. If not how do i do this. I will want to rename each file then too if it does this automatically but i imagine that is just a matter of right clicking and hitting rename :). So if i were to use photoshop, how would you go about doing this same thing in there. And another thing, i have only photoshop 4, will that do or should i try to do better. I know it is always good to have the latest but my wallet says otherwise :). Thanks for your help and any further suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

you can use a knife tool in photo and slice it you then save it and you can name the file

say you save the html document in photoshop as bob.thm

the graphics would be bob-1.gif bob-2.gif etc etc
