Input forms for magazine site

i have some basic web design knowledge, but i dont know how to design a site with input forms.

the form(s) will not be viewable by users, only the magazine's editors. i want to use a password-protected form page so the editors can easily cut and paste, the title, author, story, pictures and cutlines, then hit send and it creates a nice page for all to see. one form for each section of the magazine. thus, everything will be uniform, all the font sizes and palcements, and the editors can't screw up the site.

i also need to then archive the old information and have a good search function, but i'm not familiar w/ databases.

i helped someone design a newpapers site that followed this format, but i only handled the graphics. he used active server page, is asp the best way to do this?

if anyone knows of tutorials to do this or if any one has any templates...it would be greatly appreciated.

either of these will do the trick you need to check with your host to see what they support

then you can get the users to insert the data into a database and then call the data from the database with a username and password

Try a PHP Content Management System like www.WordPress.org -- that might work for you. It supports multiple users and works with a database. Its easy to set up as well...
