Web Payment Processing? If not PayPal, then...?

I am just wondering if there are any other comparable payment processors apart from Paypal? After having read articles from www.paypalsucks.com I am getting worried about the latter. If the services are available to Canadians, then all the better. Thanks for any and all help!

Try 2checkout.com - There is a one-time 49. fee.
The benefits are that it is more private label.
Very easy - no scripts to add or anything.

If you'd like an example visit my site below. I think
I have it going on that one - If not just email me.

I use 2CO as backup to my regular merchant account. They accept international clients.

Thanks armstrong. Some questions for you though: I plan to use it just like I use Paypal - an occasional sale here and purchase there. Paypal has exhorbitant "hidden" fees in the form of terrible exchange rates, but their fee of 2.9% + $0.30 is much better than 2CO's high rate of 5.5% + $0.45. Do you know if 2CO generally has better exchange rates and less hidden fees?

I am seriously considering switching away from Paypal because they have failed to resolve one of my disputes costing me a loss of US$400, and I am doing to initiate a chargeback with VISA is a couple of days. They are surely going to shut down my account, but it's fine actually.

2CO's rates are higher, and they only charge in US$. However, they can be used to serve more countries, and don't require your clients to signup for an account (unlike Paypal).

I have my own horror story with Paypal and about $800 in company funds that they decided to keep. They are too far away from me to deliver swift kicks to the a**, so now I just say no to Paypal.

Depending on your average transaction amount, you may also want to look at Paysystems. I've been considering them for my higher-value services, plus they are able to accept a wider range of currencies.

If anyone figures out another service that offers the same options as Paypal, do let me know. :)

Fleetpay has no fees for sending and receiving payments. What's the catch here?

Users of 2CO and PaySystems... care to compare these services and suggest the cheaper/safer/more professional one?

Yeah, would like to know too.

Thanks for starting this thread drmaximus. I also have a separate thread regarding Solopay.

I just found out that NP member teebob owns Fleetpay.com. Haven't seen him much here, though. Wish he can answer our questions regarding his company.

Actually, ikobo.s fees are pretty similar 1.99%-2.99%+$0.29, but their coverage I think is better with 170 paying countries and 220 receiving. There aren't any hidden fees, and their service is quite fast. They look like a good alternative from 2CO or paypal; it's true paypal have a history of "appropriating" people's money without any reason. :red:
In reply to drmaximus, ikobo covers Canada, and is, in my opinion an improved version of paypal. :hehe:
