Hello,

Which Web ControlPanel can be installed on Solaris? CPanel & Plesk are not supported. I need info regarding the software and guidance how can I install it.

Regards,

Kashif

I don't believe that their is one at this point. I know there was some talk in the past, but the mainstream control panels don't currently provide support for Solaris.

So, there is no CP available for Solaris?? I am not asking for big one, a light weight or less featured CP should be enough.

Well, that's what I meant. I'm thinking of every CP I'm familiar with (and it's quite a few) and there just aren't Solaris versions out there.

However, I did check Webmin on a whim, and they seem to offer it:

Try that.

Why are you stick to the solaris?
It appears you did not use to use that
Why do you need that now?
Maybe better stay with your current solutions?

Siber, probably the reputation that Solaris has. It's actually quite a stable platform that a lot of companies use. It's seen less often in the hosting world.

Yes that is. But if he do not have idea what it is I would not recommend do it on the own, unless time and money is not an option

:)

Actually, I got Solaris based VPS from LayeredTech free of cost. They gave just ssh access and VPS has nothing installed. How can I use it without any control panel?

I can work with Cpanel and Plesk. I am not familiar with Solaris.

You may want to look into Virtualmin.

Sometimes "free" isn't a bargain!

I suppose that in this situation that would be more correctly said if you say "Open source" not free ;)
