We can't redirect traffic to a parked page right?

I have several different subdirectory pages. I'm aware of affiliates but I would rather get paid for click rather than paid per order or per sale. By subdirectory, I mean pages like "www.namepros.com/forums" or "www.namepros.com/chat". I want to redirect the "chat" and "forums" pages to a parked page since I only get traffic on those from backlinks and very little traffic to the actual main domain name. I don't think I can park subdirectory pages that don't exist, that's not really a domain is it. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Hi thanks for the suggestion. The thing is, I don't mind hosting it. But I wanted a parked page because thats all there is on a parked page is relevant click ads. With things like adsense, you have to have other things on the page and the ads don't dominate the whole page like how a parked page is. Also, I thought backlinks were ok with parked pages at sedo, parked etc., as long as the backlinks were present BEFORE you parked the domain. I don't plan on building up any more backlinks for these pages. But I wanted the whole Parked page look because I think I would get more clicks that way then with a page that has adsense on it because then I would have to actually put some kind of content on the page which would "distract" people from clicking on the links.

on sedo you can advertise the details ABOUT your site
Advertise your domain! You can do something to sell your domains faster. On your homepage(s), just link to the page

http://www.sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=DOMAINNAME.TLD

Please make sure that "DOMAINNAME.TLD" is replaced by the Domain Name you want to sell! Clicking on this link the user will be redirected to your Domain Offer at Sedo. Our experience shows that sellers who provide that link on their web site will sell their domains about 3-4 times faster!

i don't get it. At Parked, if I type "www.namepros.com/forums" it will then automatically be redirected to "www.namepros.com/?404=Y" which displays exactly the same links as the actual domain.

but aren't sedo.com doing that already for parked domains on their site?
also if it's hosted at parked.com how can you control your .htaccess file? is there a provision?

OK, I'll set up a page to show you - will take about 10 minutes to do

I will place the page at http://www.telepresencetoday.com/namepros/

Give me a few minutes to set it up, and demonstrate...

L2

I went to your URLS
http://www.telepresencetoday.com/namepros/ and
http://www.telepresencetoday.com/

Your site is not currently parked at Parked.

If you park telepresencetoday.com at Parked, then when people goto http://www.telepresencetoday.com/namepros/ they will also be redirected to the main domain.

I don't know about other Providers like ND or Sedo, but I'm guessing they also do the same.

he's complicating it himself why not park the whole domain and get all the traffic from
domain.com/sub
sub.domain.com
and besides i don't know how to add a subdomain to sedo will it work if i add a sub?

He originally wanted to park a subdomain.... not the real domain....

I have to think about this for a minute because my whole contention was he had control of the website and domain now - and wanted to park the subdirectory and harvest its traffic.

oh that's the issue.
why not promote still the about page on sedo instead the domain itself? after all he's prioritizing selling the domain

They won't allow the backlinks - See NP Thread Important read there....

Hi thanks for all the suggestions but I dont think I explained what I meant very well, sorry. This is what I mean.

I have the domain www.namepros.com. I still want to keep a website at namepros.com. I still want my visitors to be able to visit my website at namepros.com and I still want SOME subdirectorys to be visible as web pages. For example, I may have a forum at www.namepros.com/forum...and I may have a contact me page with my email information and stuff at www.namepros.com/contact......but I want to park some of my other pages which are no longer in use such as www.namepros.com/moneytips
I only want to park moneytips. I know how to redirect JUST moneytips to another page...but im wondering if there is any parking out there that I can redirect to so I can harvest JUST the traffic that is going to moneytips..not the traffic that is going to the main domain or other subdomains that are still in use.
I guess what im wondering is.....how does someone make their own page with ppc's without going through a parked company? I know how to add affiliate links, but I want to add links that I get paid PER CLICK.. Adsense is only one little square full of ads and it says "ads by google" next to it. If you go to a sedo page, it doesnt say "ads by anything" next to it, all the ads fill up the page and they are all similar so it looks like a genuine page to people who have never seen a parked page before so they are more likely to click those then things that say "ads by google". And I dont want to add content to the page and this is a requirement for adsense, you cant just have a blank page with adsense ads on it. I want a blank page with nothing but pay per click ads on there like how a parked page is. How do the parking companies get those ads on the pages they supply?
