Hi Miks,

It's a great domain for a UK-specific campaign, targeting water safety for children. With the right buyer, perhaps a reasonably well funded govt. task-force, I can see this name selling for up to $2500 quite easily; finding that right buyer, however, won't be easy.

Quick tip: Telling people on here that you picked a name up for reg fee, or even free, is like a red rag to a bull; they will usually always appraise the name for that figure (!). Your domain, however, is a good one that could easily fetch a decent price, and if I were you i'd ignore the $xx appraisals... they come from a very dark place, much like the "domainers" who are giving them.

Good luck,

:)

I'm guessing that an end-user buyer for WaterSafety.co.uk would need to be governmental.

Maybe a boating goods supplier could use it as a "giving back"-style promotional campaign. But good luck convincing them!

A buyer will be slow to show. And might not.

Since you're new, I'd recommend flipping this for profit and reinvesting somewhere else. You can learn a lot more by practicing sales right now than by holding onto domains long term. It's all about turnover.

Yeah you pretty much just described my strategy there..

I've only been domaining since February this year have made 1 end user sale not great but falls in high £ xxx region, at the moment it's my hobby and to be honest I am operating with like 50 domains increasing after every made sale making few hundred £ earnings via parking every month + averaging about 3 - 5 domain sales any where between £ 40 - £ 150 monthly all of my domain are free reg's plus all of sales are usually like from week to 2 months after picking them up so I am pretty happy with that ;)

thank you for advice guys!

making few hundred £ earnings via parking every month

With 50 domains that you got at reg fee?

That doesn't sound remotely plausible to me. So I'm guessing you probably misspoke.

If you really are making a "few hundred £ earnings via parking every month", then that's at least £200 per month = £2,400 per year = $3,888.

That's an average of
£48 per domain each year
= $78 per domain annually.

I'd believe $0.78 per domain annually.

Hi I didn't misspoke, but should clarify this was first month I received just over £ 200, was less previous month and it has been going up monthly ever since I got in the parking.

I have not thought about what's average per domain in all fairness obviously you done maths there for me..

What it is about 3 months ago Nominet had a bit of mix up for (few days) with times and the way domains are dropping I think and few decant names IMO was not immediately picked up by drop catchers so I manage to pick up few names - one of them sold to end user as mentioned before, and couple others one of them been stand out for Parking earnings and I am not selling as last month it made £ 83 earnings by it self.
other decant one mentioned been making over £ 20 a month.. for last three months.

Obviously not going to mention name(s) here or on any forum as I consider it as my success formula and example when looking for any new domains to register (with parking revenue in mind).

Ever since have picked up quite few domains some who make between £ 5 - £ 15 and others less or nothing, those are the ones I am selling somewhere between 3 - 5 monthly..
