Wanted: software for comparing files

I know there is many different software out there (both free and commercial), but what would YOU recommend for following task.

I have literally millions of files that DO have some duplicates in them. Some files are stored offline (CD and DVD disks) some are on harddisk.

Id prefer something that makes checksum of files (MD5, or similar) and then compaires the checksums. Auto deleting files from HD that are archived on CD/DVD dists would be a big plus.

I will try to find time testing them over the weekend. Will generate small suite of files for testing purposes so I see how different programs do the task for me.

According to their webpage this software does not have the ability to verify files in HD against the files archived to DVDR or CDR disks.

I will try it, but probably its still not what im looking for.
