WANTED: 34 Articles mostly on Countries with some Regions and Islands

I am currently wanting to have a set of 34 articles written, each article will be used as the content of a 1 page mini-site. The sites are mostly country names, with a few being islands or subnational entities (e.g. state, region or province names). The list of required articles is at the end of this posting.

The articles are to average 300 words each, with an absolute minimum of 250 words in any article and an absolute maximum of 400 words in any article. I'll accept phased delivery (see below), in which case each batch of articles must conform to the 300 word average.

The first paragraph (Or first sentence, if the paragraph is longer than 150 characters including spaces and punctuation) must be suitable for copying to the meta description tag of the page: Should give a brief description of the subject matter, and contain the keyword (country name) somewhere other than the start of the sentence.

The domains are all in the .nz ccTLD and so are naturally targeted at New Zealanders. This creates two requirements:

1. They will need to be written in grammatically correct, correctly spelled Australasian (New Zealand + Australia), or British English. Provided current slang and topical references are avoided, the differences between NZ & British English are minimal and can be ignored for the purposes of this commission.
2. References to your home country (Unless it's the topic of the article) or its people are not acceptable. For example “These days many Americans like to vacation in Equatorial Guinea because it's only a 9 hour flight from New York ...” would be useless to me and would be rejected. Don't try simply substituting New Zealanders for Americans either as geography tends to be your enemy and the results are usually equally unacceptable.

All articles must be your original work, previously unpublished and pass Copyscape. They also must not be a simple substitution edit or re-ordering edit of the relevant Wikipedia page or CIA World Factbook entry. To the contrary, I'm more interested in an article that flows than a recitation of facts & figures. As long as it reads well I'm not massively concerned if a few facts are wrong here and there; it's easy enough for me to fix those later.

I am buying full rights to the articles and may later decide to re-deploy them to other uses. They may be posted anonymously or under my name.

Payment will be by PayPal. I will pay as fast as possible when due, please allow 72 hours to permit verification of the work, timezone differences and any unexpected time conflicts at my end. Payment will be due

• If you have a higher NamePros trader rating than I do at the time this proposal is posted and no bad trader ratings related to delivery, timeliness or quality, I'm prepared to pay one third in advance, one third after 17 acceptable articles have been received and one third after all 34 articles have been received;
• otherwise I'll pay one third after receipt of the first 11 acceptable articles, one third after the next 12 and the final third at the end.
• I'd prefer not having the entire set of articles delivered at once, but we can negotiate this point if necessary. I'm unlikely to pay before receipt of articles in this case though; again this is negotiable.

Finally, I am aware that some of these places (e.g. Palestine, Papua) have current difficulties such as war, civil unrest, high crime, etc. Mentioning these issues isn't required but if the articles touch on these problems it is important that the articles are politically neutral.

If you're interested please PM me a sample of your work (Approximately the same size as the commissioned articles) of the quality the finished articles will be or a pointer to same if it's already published, the price you want, and the time delay after acceptance of your proposal for delivery, for phased delivery, the delay until each stage is to be delivered. All three of these points are important to me, and I reserve the right to cancel the order if they are not met.

Lowest price or any offer not necessarily accepted. If I can't get an offer I'm happy with on all three points of price, timing and quality I may choose to defer this project.

About me. I have more than 1800 domain names currently registered and and have started a process of developing many of them as mini-sites with an eye to expanding the successful mini-sites into full sites later. I've been a member of Namepros since November 2005 (4 years) and my current Namepros trader rating is 5, 100% positive. I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand (Currently GMT+13) so please allow for timezone differences in communications.

I've had it suggested to me that 300 words may be too short for some good authors to consider, and I'm prepared to consider longer articles.

So just to confuse things I'm now interested in receiving proposals for average word-counts of 300 (the original), 400 and 500 words; in each case -50, +100 range on individual articles,

Could anyone proposing on this project please indicate which size(s) you are interested in doing.
