    6. After that, I bought and list on Sedo dan and GoDaddy(Afternic).
    Now
    1. Is my method of domain hunting good or need to improve this( Want your suggestions)
    2. How much time it will take to sell a domain in your experience?
    3. Which is the best approach to sell on Buy Now or Make Offer?
    4. What type of domains need to target in today's domain market?
    5. Which domain area is best for investing "brand domains, niche-based domains, numeric based, or other?
    6. Is expired domains with some good clean backlinks can sell in high $xxxxx?
    7. Are auction programs of marketplaces like Sedo great domains or go daddy auctions works or not to sell domains?

    Hi @Haliahsan

Your questions are really good, and I think you're on the right track.

However, by asking so many questions at once --questions that require extensive explanations-- I think you limit the number of useful answers, because people see it as a huge task to answer them all (including myself).

In the meantime, I would like to suggest that you first look around on this forum for some time, and read everything you can. There's a special posting with resources for beginners. Use the namepros search function as well (or Google search combined with with site:namepros.com). Most of your questions have been answered before, and there are hundreds to thousands of pages written about these topics by people with different opinions.

You can also ask questions in relevant threads, but try to focus on one question each time.

Wish you good luck, and I'm looking forward to answering some of your questions in the Future.

    Hi
i viewed one of your sales threads and to me, none have any resell value.

typically, newbie will register first, then ask questions after.

    which is starting off, ass-backwards.

thinking going down a "checklist", is all it takes.

do you know what a backlink is, how to verify it and whether it applies to the domain name that it is linked to?
does anybody visit the page where the link resides?

it seems you would have to know quite a bit about each and every item on the list, before you could start to utilize it.

erase from your mind, whatever you thought you knew and start over, from the beginning.

    imo....

Welcome, Ahsan, domain valuation tools are a novelty. They're always greatly undervalued. Don't listen to them or you're a fool. Especially don't use GoDaddy.

    1. Is my method of domain hunting good or need to improve this( Want your suggestions)
It is in the right direction, but don't expect immediate success. Expect that you will make lots of mistakes. You can check NameBio for what names are selling currently (On Name bio check the end user sales specially Buydomains and SEDO -many sedo sales are end users). Check the sales thread on Namepros and see what names are selling for 2000-3000. Anything higher and they are usually luck, people bought them long time back for cheap or they are very overpriced in the auctions these days. The $2000 are what you will get from closeouts and discount backorders. Some of the successful domainers/members have open portfolio. Check out what they are buying and selling. It will take time.. DOn't be in a hurry.
    1. How much time it will take to sell a domain in your experience?
2% STR is the industry average for portfolio names. Names that you can buy in closeouts or under $50 and sell for 2000-3000. So if you are good in picking names, expect to sell 2 names out of 100 names in a year.
    1. Which is the best approach to sell on Buy Now or Make Offer?
For the 2000-3000 names Buy now without offer seem to work the best for most people. Some people do make offers as well.
    1. What type of domains need to target in today's domain market?
2000-3000 dollar names in all kinds of niche. Right from AR/VR to landscaping. Higher value names will need significant investment. If you have unlimited fund, higher end names are always better.
    1. Which domain area is best for investing "brand domains, niche-based domains, numeric based, or other?
Brand domains are better for the above criteria. Also all niches will also like brandable names. Niche based are fine, but stick to one for now.
    1. Is expired domains with some good clean backlinks can sell in high $xxxxx?
NO. It is not domaining. It takes different skill sets. You need a captive market Like a list. And while the STR is very high, it also is very very competitive. I repeat it is not domaining and you need different skills for the same. Good domains will go for more than 1000 in auctions and you can flip at most for 2-3x but unless you have a ready market you won't find buyers. Most of the SEO link sellers sell to a specific set of buyers usually via email.
    1. Are auction programs of marketplaces like Sedo great domains or go daddy auctions works or not to sell domains?
They are ok to liquidate name but you will not likely sell the 2000-3000 range names. Forget about those venue for a while. FOcus on learning to pick names and let them sell in their own via Afternic/Sedo/DAN
    1. What's the best way to find prospective clients for related domains?
Again not a good idea unless you are doing GEO service outbound, in which case you will find lots if resources to to extract emails from google map, how to write the email, how to track, how to price etc. You can look for interview/podcast of Jason Eisler (aka Domain baron )
It is again a totally different business model.
If you want to be a good domainer, focus on learning to buy names

    1. How to calculate or guess the real worth of domains?
This is the most useless piece of information you will ever have. Don't bother about the worth of your domains. They are mostly not even worth the registration fee. With time you will start to learn how to price names for BIN. For now focus on learning to buy names under $50 that you can sell for 2000 at a 2% STR. Domain worth is an useless metric. You will see many brandbucket names that are listed for 2000 being sold for $20. So it is worth $20 to an investor and 2000 to an end user. But if an end user has only a budget of 1000 and he tries to negotiate with you, will you not sell because it is not 2000m even though 1000 is a 50X ROI and also you can buy 50 more $20 names with $1000?
Many new investors are too focussed on domain worth. Focus on things that will give you a better ROI, like learning how to pick up good names.. There are gazillions of names that drop everyday and there is not enough time to go through all those. So learn to focus. Go through lists. Build your own keyword lists because without them you can't filter. There are so many auction venues and many gems go for under $50..

Those things take up a lot of time. SO forget domain apparaisal. Embrace namebio, dofo, dotdb and expireddomains.net
