Wait times on new reg's

This is probably been beaten to death, but I have to ask...
Does anyone know the specifics on registering a new .whatever ?
Like, how long before you can sell it? and is there a way around the waiting times?

I have read some stuff but noting some are new regs
and are still being sold??

I think I understand your question. if so..
using Godaddy with dot com I have actually sold a few hours later...
not sure about others.

60 days for most names I know.

ICANN regulations prohibit transferring a domain name that has been registered or previously transferred within the last 60 days.
I believe transfer means "to transfer the name to a different registrar" - like for example If you bought a name at Godaddy and sold it to someone who wanted to transfer it to Network Solutions - you would have to wait 60 days. But you should be able to push to name to a buyer within the same registrar without the 60 day rule.
Anybody correct me if I am wrong...

Transfer to another register is 60 days.... Godadady-Domainsite..you can buy and push a name as fast as you are able to do it...Enom has a time period of 7 or 14 days before you can push a name to another enom acct...Some reges may have restriction and some not.
