Each time you get a positive reputation from someone, a fraction of NP$ are added to your account.

@ Qwert, there is a limit to the amount of reputation you can give to anyone in a day.

You cannot give reputation points to more than 20 other members in a day, and you may not give reputation points to the same member twice (without giving points to at least 20 other members in between).

Note:

^^ Obviously, fluffing it up for buddy's posts would be HIGHLY discouraged (and, hopefully, eventually reported to Staff™).
The long-term goal here is to raise the overall caliber of posts (quality versus quantity), and a gesture - as well as immediate feedback - of recognition / reputation for those who put thought and effort consistently in to their posts, IMHO. It's better to give this a chance, embrace it, ask for candid, honest participation, and then assess its impact over time ... and throughout the "community" ... than to not, in my view.
I like where it may lead us in the months ahead!
