NP$ Exchange Dead? I think so...

Hey,

What's up with the inactivity in the NP$ exchange? I noticed that matrix guy selling HUGE amounts of NP$ at the higher rate of .020... and I see the offers to buy at the best rates for sellers I've seen in a LONG time!

I'm trying to buy 900 NP$ at a standard .018 rate... and some even at a .019 rate (other people I mean), so what's up with the idleness?

When will people start circulating NP$ again? Could this be the beginning of "THE" NamePros depression? :o

Thanks,
-Matt

It's not dead, it's just people are spending it more and more, more so since all the cool features (Domain registration, NP$ Clicks, ect.).

It's just has more demand than usally, it has happen before a few months ago. ;)

there is just some major deflation going on right now, I think people want to ride it out

however I think they should lower price of buying from the bank, could bring in revenue for namepros too

Yes, good idea; RJ should lower the official bank rate to .020 or something, then I'd be able to afford some NP$ I need to buy charity ribbons and replies on my "G5NPJFR!" thread in the Incentives board.

Agree, it looks dead. Can't find anyone who sells NP$ at 0.018 rate :(

Also RJ stopped selling the 0.017 NP$s :(

I wonder when the 0.016 deal will start for DNOA members.

The NP$ economy is booming without a doubt - my advice is to lay off the NP$ and post more to get them instead of buying from the exchange. If demand lowers then the price will lower. I think the auctions are somewhat to blame for the higher prices, it always seems to jump up after an auction and then come down to a little higher than it was before.

I remember way back when NP$ were going for $0.016. :hehe:

That is not correct, he had some available at .017 during the last 24Hrs.

As for the exchange being dead, not even close, It has been booming the last few months. I have not bought and sold so much during a 2-3month time period since the .013 days.

YESSSSS, I said .013.

That was quite a while ago. :hehe: I remember buying them at .014, back then .016 was high! It's cool, I figuered that when NP got bigger, the price would go down... Not up. But it's better this way.

Hmm alright...

So anybody want to sell their NP$ at a .018 rate? If not, then I could consider this NOT "booming"

Just because people are not willing to sell their NP $ at .018 does not mean the market is booming. NP $ have much more worth now, as they can be used to purchase domains, buy traffic, etc. Its supply and demand. Right now there is a high demand, but a low supply of them, so the price has gone up. As people start needing money, they will sell them for less, the supply will go back up, and the price will go down. I don't think you can say the NP $ Exchange is dead, just because we're at the peak of the low supply...

the price for NP is always changing I remember for a few months the average sale was about .021 or so for a while was good time to be selling then :)

Well I guess we're just getting more conservative with our $NP, with so many uses now with them ;) ad campaigns, NP-only exchanges, domains, status, ... B-)

The thing is so many np$ go to domains

therefore there are less, to keep more satisfied, np rate will continue to increase, until solved

I bought a grand at .18 a week or so ago.

I think as the site grows the more members means the more that want NP's. I think you could see .30 as the standard rate in a year. Keeping the bank about .05 higher than the lowest going rate is a good idea.

As an investor this is a very interesting little market. Someone should write an economics paper on it. :)
